標記フォーラムでは、昨年10月28日に開催された第3回フォーラム以降、専門のワーキンググループを設置し、合併をはじめとしたＪリートの再編、Ｊリートのガバナンス強化の必要性、Ｊリートのファイナンス、個人投資家、年金等による不動産投資の促進等、Ｊリートを中心とした我が国不動産投資市場の活性化について幅広い議論が行われてまいりました。
今般、これまでの検討結果を踏まえ、「Ｊリートを中心とした我が国不動産投資市場の活性化に向けて」と題してとりまとめが行われております。

同フォーラムは、平成19年5月の社会資本整備審議会答申「今後の不動産投資市場のあり方について（第二次答申）」を踏まえ、我が国不動産投資市場の健全な発展に向け、有識者、市場関係者及び行政が一体となって検討を行うため、設置されたものです（平成19年9月～）。
